Long Island Community Chorus represents the evolution of a group of singers that dates back decades. Originally based in Rockville Centre, New York, in 1984, we began as the Rockville Centre Choral Society. Since then, the chorus has grown to include Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties. Our music spans a wide range, from classical to traditional, celebrating a rich musical heritage and sense of community.

Have you heard about Lynbrook’s summer Cruise Nights? On Thursdays in July and August, between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m., the main shopping street (Atlantic Avenue) is transformed into a free outdoor party for the whole family. Featured are classic, vintage, and modern cars on display, live music, and food/beverages for purchase — serving up an overall vibrant community atmosphere.
Intermissions between the main musical segments showcase various other groups. And that’s where LICC came in. Although not all members were available during our “off months,” a number of us sang a short set. Despite some drizzly weather, we had a great evening!
